In Google’s algorithm, the incoming links to your sites are somewhat a popularity vote for your site to come up to high rank for your keyword. This is not just poor links from everywhere but links that are coming from authority and respected sites. The quality of the link is much better than the quantity because the search engines are basing it on the standing of the site that the link is coming from. Some webmasters and site owners are paying other experts to build links to their sites. If you are not sure where their links are coming from, you are just literally wasting your money. On the other hand, if you are building links for yourself and is not sure where to get those links then you are also wasting your precious time. Remember that building links is fast-paced because the sooner you get those quality links, the sooner you can go up the ranks, and the sooner you can make money from your visitors. By doing link building, you should avoid the common mistakes that web owners oversee. There are many people who are in rush in building their incoming links and most of the time, their sites are not ranking well in Google as they desire because of some mistakes. These mistakes are: Focusing on Quantity: The weight of the links that are coming to your site is very important. This will tell that other great sites are giving you credit for your contents.
You should always choose where your links are coming from. If some of your links are coming from sites that are not related to your topic then you can not have much importance out of that. Choose the sites that are well respected by search engines like social news sites, social bookmarking sites, related sites of the same subject, and article directories. Reciprocal Links: Some are building links through link exchanges. This may just let your rank leak from your site.
Google has its own way of checking the links that are coming to your site by using spiders that surfs your sites and checks the links that are coming in. The links are gateways of the visitors as well as Google’s spiders. This can tell whether your link is coming from good sites or not and then give the appropriate justification for the rank of your site or webpage. Purchasing links: Search engines are aware about the behavior of natural link building. If you have a thousand links to your site in just 3 hours, then that would certainly ring a bell on search engines and penalize your site.
There are many marketers that are building quick sites and social networking profiles and then if they have enough pages, they will sell those links and banner spaces. What’s bad about purchasing links from these marketers is the fact that there are hundreds of other people and site owners that purchased the same offer. This will result to the sites and profile to give more outbound link and then the rank that should have been good become degraded thus giving your site low quality links. There are several things that website owners don’t bother to do or avoid. The points that are listed above are the major facts to make every site owner know how to make their pages rank high and giving their sites more visitors from organic rankings of the search engines. Avoiding these mistakes can make the best out of your link building campaigns. |
